Multiple lines of text field

Hi,

I have a multiple lines of text field type and I've set it's number of rows as 3. Unchecked 'Automatically expand to use available space'. When I type something in the field, at the end of the first line it goes into next line without expanding the field.. which is good. But after entering the details in to the field, the field gets expanded and displays everything in one line. Also, the whole section gets exapanded along with it.

How can I make it not to expand?

Thanks

Hi Roxana, try with adding custom css to your field. It may help you. Or else please check your field length.

    Thanks,

Width wise you could try putting in a tab with multiple sections?

    Hi Roxanna,
    1. Open the Form Editor.
    2. Select the Multi Line Text Field that you mentioned.
    3. Change Properties
    4. Go To Formatting Tab.
    5. See the section that says "Row Layout". Uncheck the option "Automatically  expand to use available space".

Do let us know if this works.
    Thank you.

Does it also do this if you have multiple words with spaces between them? Your screenshot only shows an example where there are no word breaks for it to use to split across lines, which I can imagine would confuse the form rendering.

    Hi Adam,

My bad. You are right. :)

I did confuse the form rendering with entering just some text without spaces. But I thought that is how I would check when customizing a form.

    Thank you
