Opportunity Product - impossible to import; invisible lookup field, although it should be required

Hi.

I am having troubles importing Opportunities Products due to the following facts:

The Opportunity (opportunityid) field is set to System Required and it should be the field that indicates the connection between products and opportunity. But when I try to import data it becomes totally invisible:

  • When trying to download the template, the field is not there;
  • When trying to import csv file and manually add and map the fields, the only required field seems to be Quantity.
  • I have tried to manually add the Lookup field, but it doesn't work (although I have unique identifiers for each opportunity, it gives me the "lookup reference can't be resolved" error - I have tried both with Topic and another custom field)

When trying to add the field to the Opportunity Product Form it is, once more, nowhere to be found.

P.S.: I have already imported the opportunities and they are also set regarding to correspondent contacts. I have also added all the required products.

Can someone help me? I really can't figure out what is happening here.

Thanks,

Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

    You'll need to export the Opportunity IDs to use in your Opportunity Product import template & manually match them to their related products.

    Hi Adrian,

    Yup, you need to add the Opportunity column manually and then do the mapping during import.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
