Direct cost applied different from purchase in exchange rate

Hello,
I want to ask about posting a purchase order with changing the currency exchange rate on the document level. The direct cost applied will take the exchange rate from the currency table in the specified date, the purchase takes the rate from the invoice document
In result the direct cost applied will be different from the purchase cost in the local currency...what should we do to maintain the same rate?
I have the same question (0)

Hi, as far as I know you don't need to maintain the same rate, this is automatically adjusted when you perform Adjust Exchange Rates.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hello Yun Zhu,
Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately the difference of exchange does not affect the inventory and direct cost applied accounts

    Hi,

When you post the invoice, entries posted for purchase receipts will be reversed (expected cost) and new entries will be created in the system. There should not be a difference between direct cost and purchase account due to exchange rate difference.

For example, following double entries were created for purchase receipt.

Following are the double entries created for the related invoice at a different exchange rate. As you can see from the first two lines, receipt entries are reversed and new entries created with the invoice value.

    Regards,
    Thilari
