Quality order

Hi All,

We have requirement from client, can anyone confirm if this is possible out of box?

Purchase order process is creating Quality orders automatically. We are using ADV WMS process (Quality sampling) Let's say PO was for quantity 6 and a quality order was created for 6. Once tested we find out 2 of them passed and the rest failed. Currently the entire quality order fails, all 6 quantities moves to Quarantine location( even though 2 of them passed). Is there a way to create work for 2 quantity (passed) to a put away location while the rest 4 quantity (failed) goes to Quarantine?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

This behavior is related to the limitations of the standard functionality when using Advanced Warehouse Management (WMS) in combination with Quality Management.

    Possible solutions:

       Change the sampling approach:

Use a sampling plan that creates multiple quality orders. This allows manual handling of passed and failed batches separately.

       Manual adjustment after testing:

Once the quality order is completed, manually reallocate the quantities using Movement by template or Movement journal / Warehouse movement work.

Additionally, I recommend reviewing and testing the Quality Management functionality introduced in version 10.0.44 — specifically, Quick result entry, which you can read more about here:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/inventory/quality-quick-results-entry

This issue may be addressed in that feature. At the very least, manual line splitting for assigning different statuses has become much more convenient, flexible, and fast.

    Hi Community member,
In D365 F&O with Advanced Warehouse Management (Quality sampling), what you are describing is partially possible in standard, but not in the exact way you outlined if the full quantity is tied to a single quality order result.
    Here what I understood:
    PO = 6 qty
Quality order created for 6 qty
    Result is marked as Failed.
The system treats the entire tested quantity according to the final quality result.
If the quality order outcome is “Fail”, all 6 quantities follow the failed disposition (e.g., move to quarantine).
Standard quality orders do not automatically split quantities into pass/fail unless you explicitly record the quantities separately.
