Post payment journal error

Please can someone help me with this. I am trying to post a payment journal. My payment type is "Electronic Payment", and I am able to export the payment file ok. However when I go to post the journal I get the error below:

I can't find anywhere in the setup that would suggest the payment is a cheque so can't work out why it is stating "Cheque transmitted must be equal to "Yes""?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Susan

The export process has 3 steps now for electronic payments. You have step 1 and 3 identified. The second step is to use the "Transmit" button. This confirms the payment data has been passed to the bank. Post will work after that's completed.

The error is not very helpful in this instance.

    Thanks, Josh

    Hi Josh,

Thanks for coming back to me. Up until about a week ago I didn't have to transmit (only export, then post) - so something must have been changed in the config for it now to be requesting transmission. Any ideas what could cause this please? We only export a bank payment file (csv) and manually load into our bank so there is nothing to transmit..

We are also having this similar issue. Looks like a change to the validation on the bank payment type. I would suggest changing the bank payment type to find one which is not validated.

    Hi !

I have this exact same problem.  I can't posted after exported the file for the electronic payment.

If after exporting the payment I change the bank payment type to "empty", I can post, but it make no sense to do that for each payment line?

Is there a trigger that can be set after exporting so the validation will be true and allow the posting?

    Thanks!
