Good arrival notification

we are looking for a way to notify the owner / assigned user of goods arriving when the goods are receipted in the warehouse.

A lot of our orders are time sensitive and it is rather time consuming having to check all the shortage lines for every order.

Is there a way? Maybe through Power automate - which we haven't even explored yet.

If you are using BC22.2 and above version then you can use business events.

IF you are using Picks, have you looked into using the Pick Worksheet. It makes suggestions on what to Pick based on FIFO Orders and Inventory Available to Pick. Allowing you to create the Picks to fulfil your Orders based on what Items have been received. For one of our clients we use the Job Queue to run the Pick Worksheet throughout the day generating Picks and auto-load balancing the Picks to the various warehouse staff.

It would be worth looking into if you are already using Picks.

Hi Ben

we are just setting up the warehouse in Dynamics and are currently using a 3PL provider. They don't do anything unless all items on an order are available. So Sales has to submit complete orders and we find that since changing to Dynamics we are missing orders.

Once our own warehouse is set up I am sure we can work with your suggestion - I will try and find out what version / part we are using.
