Can the Dataverse Connection delete records in Dataverse when they are deleted in Business Central?

Current Process

  • When a coupled record is deleted in Business Central, only the record in Business Central is removed. The corresponding record in Dataverse remains unaffected.
  • When a record is uncoupled, the system only removes the coupling link between the synchronized records but does not delete either record in Business Central or Dataverse.

Limitation

  • The deletion process is not bi-directional.
  • Deleting a coupled record in either Business Central or Dataverse does not automatically delete the corresponding record in the other system.

Question

  • Does the standard integration framework in Business Central support bi-directional record deletion (i.e., deleting a coupled record in Business Central also deletes it in Dataverse, and vice versa)?
  • Or would this behavior require a custom extension to be implemented?
