Buenos días a todos,
estoy empezando a desarrollar AL para BC.
Descarguen e instalen la versión local de la última versión de BC 260, de mayo de 2025.
Ese mismo día, descargué e instalé VS Code con la extensión AL.
Al intentar crear mi primer proyecto para BC, recibí el mensaje reportado, junto con otros errores que se muestran en la siguiente imagen:

"A Package with publisher 'Microsoft', name 'Application' and a version compatible with '26.0.0.0' could not be found in the package cache folder"

Descargue e instale la versión OnPremise de la última versión de BC 260, de mayo de 2025.

A la fecha errónea descargue e instale VS Code con la extensión AL.

Al intentar crear mi primer proyecto para BC, me arroja el mensaje reportado, junto con otros errores mostrados en la siguiente imagen:

"A Package with publisher 'Microsoft', name 'Application' and a version compatible with '26.0.0.0' could not be found in the package cache folder"

Este es un problema relacionado con los símbolos (symbols). Debes descargar los símbolos, lo que descargará las aplicaciones estándar como una carpeta de paquetes (package folder).

El error indica exactamente eso: que no se encontró el paquete en la carpeta de caché de paquetes (package cache folder).

Para solucionarlo:

Abre el proyecto AL en VS Code.

Presiona Ctrl+Shift+P

Ejecuta el comando "AL: Download Symbols"

Esto descargará las dependencias necesarias desde tu instancia de BC (asegúrate de que el launch.json esté bien configurado).

This issue is related to symbols. You need to download the symbols, which will fetch the standard apps as a package folder.

The error message is telling you exactly that: it could not find the package in the package cache folder.

To fix it:

Open your AL project in VS Code.

Press Ctrl+Shift+P

Run the command "AL: Download Symbols"

This will download the required dependencies from your BC instance (make sure your launch.json is properly configured).

Gracias Tech-Lucky, por la informacion.

E logrado avanzar en la correcta configuracion.

Ahora me arroja un nuevo error que indica que es posibel que se debe congurar algunos valores en "La Herramienta del Servidor de Business Central".

Mi version de BC es 26.0 de may-2025, y por ningun lago veo esa herramienta instalada,mostrada en la imagen:

Tambien faltaba habilitar el modo de de extensiones para desarrollador e indicarle que se trabajara en un ambiente On-Premise.

Your issue likely stems from missing symbols for the Application package in your AL development for Business Central. Try running "AL: Download Symbols" in Visual Studio Code, verifying your app.json and launch.json files

Agree with Khushbu, you didn't download the symbol files, you need to connect to the environment to download, or copy them from somewhere else where you have already downloaded it.
