Sales Return Orders approval and Cancel Approval Request button

Hi,

I have found strange behavior. I have created Power Automate approval flow for Sales Return Orders and got a problem. After I request for approval, the status goes Pending Approval but button Cancel Approval Request remains disabled. I have no problem with almost CC (except trigger) approval flow for Sales Orders.
More on that I have switched to standard BC workflow for Sales Return Orders and see the same problem. I got all the SUPER roles.
My question. Do you guys have experienced the same problem? I am starting to believe that it is Microsoft bug or should I keep digging?

You're right to question this — the "Cancel Approval Request" button should be enabled when the document is in Pending Approval status and the user has sufficient permissions.

Since:

You've replicated this with both Power Automate and standard BC workflows,

You're using the SUPER role, and

It works fine for Sales Orders but not Sales Return Orders,

this behavior does point to a possible issue in standard BC (v26.x) — potentially a bug or overlooked permission condition specific to Sales Return Orders.

Try running the process in a sandbox on the latest 26.2 or preview environment.

If the issue persists, log a support ticket with Microsoft — this could be a standard bug.

Hello,

Could you validate the following field for your user, you have to be an administrator:

Approval Administrator

Specifies the user who has rights to unblock approval workflows, for example, by delegating approval requests to new substitute approvers and deleting overdue approval requests.
