Customer Trade Agreements

Hi.

I hope you can help me with a challenge we have, (D365FO)

We have 1 Gross Selling Price per Legal Entity. We have set this up in a Trade Agreement by Item with a start date and no end date. (When we started using the system)

We now we want to update some of the items with new pricing.

We have tried creating a new agreement with the selected items, change pricing, and then posted them, but the pricing always reverts back to the original agreement.

Any ideas.

Thanks

    Hello Dean,

I you are looking to update "some" items there is a straightforward way from the released item form.  This will not work for mass update which is a little more involved.  This method is easy to test and execute:

1- Start from Released Item, Sell > View Trade Agreements:

    2) Select the lines that need to be changed and click ...

    3) This action create a new journal (and will retire the old journal line), so you need to give your journal a name:

    4) Make required changes and click ...

    5) It will take you back to the Trade agreement for for the Released Product where you will see the result:

    Thanks for this Hello

Unfortunately it is a couple of thousand records.

    Is there a quicker way?

Deanoo once you have created the initial journal, in step 4 above, click the "Select" button and use selection criteria to add additional existing trade agreement lines for different items, customers, etc.  You can do this multiple times until you get the full set of journal lines you need.

Then, use the Open in Excel button to open the journal lines in Excel.  Make the necessary changes here, publish back to D365, the post the journal.

Depending on your business scenario, and if you have Retail / Commerce configured, there are also ways to do this in the Retail and Commerce module that might make sense.  You can take a peek at Retail And Commerce -> Pricing and Discounts -> Category price rules.   This allows you to adjust price up / down a bunch of different ways, but in the end just posts a new trade agreement journal.   docs.microsoft.com/.../category-pricing-rules-trade-agreements
