I used a Quick Campaign to send a follow-up email to some leads yesterday. None of the email activity shows up on the individual lead record. I think this is a big deal. The following happened so I know it sent successfully:
- I got a lot of bounce backs to my inbox (invalid emails, vacation responses).
- CRM used my inbox because I watched the count of draft messages in Outlook as the emails all went out. (They aren’t showing up in my sent folder, but they were showing up in the drafts folder.)
- The quick campaign has the email activities associated with it.
- The quick campaign number of successes is complete.
The problem is the lead record indicates “no activities”. If I go to any of the recipients (leads) that received the email I sent out, there are no activities listed.
Is this expected?
If I send an individual email to a lead it shows up under activities. I was assuming a quick campaign email would show up there as well.
