I am trying to find the beginning and ending GL balances in the Sql tables, but can not locate them.  Does anyone know what table I can find this for any given month and period?

Beginning and ending period balances for GL accounts are not stored in any SQL tables.  You will need to calculate them yourself.

Have you looked at the tables GL11111 and GL11110.. ?  I'm not sure, but it could also be possible that GP is not storing that information anywhere, but rather calculate it any given time when required to display...

I know that I can use those tables to calculate the beginning and ending balances on my own, but I want to know if the beginning and ending balances for each GL for each period is store in any table.  I am looking to create a report from the SQL data similar to the Reports - Summary - TB report that has beginning and ending balances for specific time periods

Look on GL10110 for current open years and GL10111 for historical years
