Can an approver have his approvals delegated to another user while on vacation?

    Hi KenF58,

    Yes - there is approval delegation functionality in BP.  The documentation on delegations is in the business portal project users guide, chapter 12 (page 69) (ProjUsersGuide.pdf). Let me know if you have additional questions that aren't addressed in the documentation.

    You can find out the ProjUsersGuide.pdf file under the Documentation folder of Business Portal software SDK.

    I found the guide, but I cannot locate the Delegation Maintenance link under Approvals.

    All I have access to is:

    Item Request Approval

    Project Approvals

    Document Approvals

    Line Item Approvals

    Executive Line ITem Approvals.

    Could you please do the login using BP Administrator Credentials and check the Delegation Maintenance Screen?

    I am logged in as an administrator, but I do not see the screen.  What version of BP do we have to be on to see the screen and where do I confirm the version?

    This feature is available in Business Portal of Dynamics SL 2011. The Business Portal Version is 5.1.

    Thanks again for your help.  We are all set.

    I expected a screen to open up and say "Delegation Maintenance".  I did not realize I was where I needed to be within Document Approvals.
