Sales Order Approval Require if Certain Item Discount added to SO

Is it any way that SO requires approval if items with certain discount group has been added to SO. I mean the limit is not $ value or specific item. It is only if any item with certain Discount Group is available in SO.

If yes how I can set this workflow up?

Take it you mean a customer discount group here? Item discount group cannot be seen from a SO.

Should be a case of adding a new workflow that filters for the discount group. BC likes to have unique workflows for header data. So if you’re adding the discount group at header level that should work out well as your filter on the workflow record

Thanks Josh. We have item discount group in our line (customization). Can I use that or I need to add a new field in SO Header that populate item discount group if specific item discount group is available in line? Basically it will be blank if no such item used in line then it will be populate if such item used in line. Then I can set my workflow up based on this field filter?

Hi, I think it is possible to add Customer Disc. Group in the Event Conditions of Workflow settings. But this is not for Item, it is for SO.

I did the following

1) Added new field into SO header.

2) if Item Discount group that I needed use in line this field populate otherwise it is blank

3) User Zhu and Josh suggestion for filtration.
