Microsoft Dynamics GP (Archived)

Receiving in GP adds a second line with quantity of 1 lb .

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

When doing a receipt in GP 2016 if I want to receive 500 lbs into lot code 123 for example, it will go in as two separate line as follows.  499 lbs lot code 123 and 1 lb lot code 123.  It happens on almost every receipt I do and I can not figure out why.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The fix is the adding of the two receipt lines due to rounding.  The IV10200 table stores both lines so the inventory valuation rermains correct. You can check this in the godds receipt enquiry window.

I have noticed it only happens when adding a landed cost to a receipt.  Any idea how to fix it?

    Short answer: rounding.
