Hai Dudes,  I am using Microsoft Dynamics Crm 2013 for my office. I have one doubt. I am trying to import my Invoice file In crm  but I got error. Then only I came to know we have to Import "Invoice Product " before Importing Invoice. Then I tried to import Invoice product in crm, I got error in that Extended amount field. Then I asked with some one about this problem. They said we cant import Extended amount. Now my doubt is once we import the "Invoice Product " and "Invoice" files it will automatically calculate the Extended amount . Am I correct or not? I am waiting for your Replies ..

    RE: Failed to Import Invoice

The extended amount is not a manual input. It is automatically calculated one from qty * unit price.

Then you can just manual input the unit price (if you use price overridden, otherwise CRm will calculate it by using the combination of Unit, product, and Price List (or in short word it is Price List Item))

    RE: Failed to Import Invoice

You import any fields that are manually selected or input into CRM.

Any fields that are calculated in CRM (and therefore read only for a user) cannot be imported (and you should not try as your import will fail if you do).

CRM will calculate the calculated fields once the other fields are imported.

CRM will also update the calculated fields on Invoice as additional Invoice Product records are added in for that Invoice.

Yes , Crm will automaticaly update extended amount field. You can try to import only 1 record and check .

    RE: Failed to Import Invoice

    Felish,

Yes, CRM Will is the short answer.

You can download the template for importing the Invoice Product under the Settings -> Data Management -> Templates for Data Import.

Then you don't fill the amount, just fill the unit price, unit, product, and qty.  And tax if any.

    Thanks.
