Direct Cost is more than Purchase amount in Drop Shipment process

Dear Experts,

Our Customer is using Navision 2016. They found that purchase amount and direct cost applied cost is out of balance and direct cost is more.

I found that there is inventory adjustment in sales value entries additionally with unreasonable price effected only on three documents.

There is customization deployed in drop shipment.

Adjustment done in sales value entries as follows:

I would like to know what happened and is that due to transactions or system bug.

Regards,

Sweeties

    Hello,

I have never seen an Out-of-the-Box issue if I create a Purchase Order with a PO Cost of $10.00. Receive the Items, then Invoice comes in for $15.00 dollars and post Invoice. Even if I have Expected Cost turned on, the $10.00 would be reversed and the $15.00 posted as Direct Cost and match to the Purchase GL Account entry.

You mention a customization so I would say that this transaction comes from your customization and you need to speak with the Partner who created it.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hello,

Please ask your partner or CSP to raise so we can address it on your behalf if is an approved bug in standard.

    Hi Marco,

Microsoft says that NAV 2016 is out of mainstream support and hence he will not be allowed to verify if this is a bug in that version and escalate it to the product team.

He ask we suggest the customer to upgrade to the latest version of BC to be able to get all the latest fixes and support from Microsoft.

    Sweety,

If you are their Partner then your DEV colleague can login and use the DEV Client to debug the issue to resolve. This is a quick resolution but I highly recommend the customer reimplementing to BC. Reimplementation is easier than full upgrade and cost effective. Move GL History, Master Data (Customer, Vendor, Items, etc...), Open AR, AP, SO, PO.

The extensive list of features and functionality will make the move to BC an easy decision.

    Thanks,

    Steve
