Hello
I have acquired a Dynmaics SL Server which i have restored from a backup. The System used to be connected to a Domain but i have no access to the domain controller. So i cant use domain usernames and passwords. Except i can login to the server with the Domain Admin Account.
I need to try and get into Dynamics. The client software is Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0
When i try to open it says User is not associated with a Microsoft Dynamics SL User. Have an administrator run User Maintenance to configure this for Microsoft Dynamics SL.
I tried to create a SQL user but i dont know how i can login with this?
Windows 2008 Standard server
SQL 2005 Server - Mixed Mode
thanks in advance

Hi Butch
Thank you so much for the information it worked perfectly! I was able to reset the sysadmin account and then login to Dynamics.
:-)
Look for Microsoft Dynamics SL Database Management in the Administrative Tools on the server and run it. You should be able to get connected to SQL, then go to the third tab and reset the SYSADMIN user. This will allow you to set the SYSADMIN user to the admin account you are logged into. Not sure about the impact of it not being able to find the DC, but this is a start.
