Purchase Order Unit Conversion

There is a unit conversion of 1 MT (Meters) = 0.89 KG (Kilograms)

Purchase Unit = KG

Inventory Unit = MT

I have a situation whereby a Purchase Order (for the above) should be created in KG, but is created in MT.. When the supplier sends the stock with a packing slip, it is in KG (not MT).

Is there someway I can achieve the above?

My understanding is that if the PO is KG, the supplier needs to deliver the goods in KG (on the supplier packing slip). The system then converts it to MT on product registration/receipt.

I have the same question (0)

    HI James Solomon

You have to do product receipt in MT in which your PO was created and close this issue, as there is no option to choose unit of measurement during product receipt.

    Or,

Update the existing purchase order (I assumed no line is received yet) with unit as KG and continue the process.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for the reply.

After some testing on my side as well, th Qty on the PackingSlip from the supplier needs to be the same UOM as the PurchaseLine in D365.

You can 'play around' with the numbers using a Planned Order, which gives you the converted quantities on the screen, and then you can Firm it into the correct PO UOM
