Sending Mail Merge on Another's Behalf

I have been sending out mail merge email blasts to some of our contacts as part of our marketing efforts. In order to try and get better response rates I am working on "Send on another's behalf". I have been successful in doing this for plain, "Global Templates" (find the proper contacts --> "Send Direct Mail" --> Select Global Template).

But what if I create a more formal, visual mail merge in Word and upload it to our CRM and want to send it as another user.

I have been accessing our Marketing Lists through CRM --> Add a mail merge to them and sending from there. But, of course, this is being sent out from me.

I also need a way to CC other employees. Is the only way to do this through the email router?? I am using CRM online (and do not have email router installed).

Please help!

I also need to be able to CC other contacts/sales reps on the mail merge....can this be achieved with the router?

Hi Matthew, being able to send on behalf of another user is not available with an email mail merge. From my testing, there is no way to select CC options with an email mail merge. You would want to add them as recipients.

Thanks for the reply Aaron....I should be able to send on another's behalf with the router correct?

    Hi Matthew,

No, the Send on Behalf of may be a little confusing. This actually exists so that the user configured in the Email Router configuration can send emails on behalf of other users instead of creating a configuration profile for each individual user.

A mail merge will always send as the user creating the mail merge.
