Launch opportunity page in Google Chrome from CRM Outlook

Hi All, I am trying to find a way to launch google chrome from outlook CRM when user clicks on opportunity or any other information. At the moment is seems it is opening with IE engine.

Is there any way or any settings to do this? My major concern is the speed issue of loading page from IE and Google Chrome. It has been around 4-5 seconds difference and Chrome is faster than IE.

I don't think this is going to work because Outlook opens pages in a special host window that has special outlook specific functionality - it isn't just and IE window but IE embedded within Outlook.

Perhaps you will just have to use the Web Client rather than Outlook - the two can co-exist quite ok.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

The below link might help, although I haven't tried it myself.

Setting Chrome as a default program might help. Give it a try, and let us know if this works. Unfortunately, I cant try it myself as I'm not permitted to use Chrome from by business account. :(

Thank you Pramod, Karth & Scott for your reply on this question.. I already had tried to use default browser as Chrome from IE, so any outlook email links are opening in Chrome but only CRM add-in is still using IE engine to open IFRAME window and CRM related information like Opportunity, contacts etc..

I also tried to find some option if we can change some registry values but could not find any option and not sure if that is something built in logic as Scott mentioned. No further clue.. still hopeful...as our majority of users are using Outlook Client I am interested in this to speed up page loading process...
