Hi All,

I am getting "An unknown failure has occurred. Error ID # [GUID]" error while submitting Opportunity record from Portal, but when i use same form and submit Opportunity from CRM it is working.

Note : I insert all the values on the form, there is no hidden field on form.

Thanks,

Shahbaaz

    Hi Shahbaaz,

There could be a lot of reasons of this issue:

    Please check:

    > Whether you are having proper Entity Permissions enabled on the entity and all the lookup referring entities.

    > 'Authenticated User' web role is associated with all the required Entity Permissions.

    > All the mandatory fields presented on the CRM form must be presented on the portal form as well.

    > Is there any disabled and mandatory field in CRM form. Also, make sure you have not disabled the fields from Portal JS. Portal does not pass disable field's value to CRM?

    > Please check is there any Plugin/Workflow running on the same entity in CRM.

    > If all the above steps don't work then try to Run the page without checking the 'Enable Entity Permission' option on Entity form. (if checked already).

If this is not enough to get the root cause. Enable tracing/error logs from Office 365 as suggested by other folks.
