Microsoft Dynamics GP (Archived)

I am working with a client that is not quite ready to move to the web install, however they want to use AD authentication for their users.

Is there a way to use AD/sso for users in GP 2018R2 that are NOT webclient.   My client is not ready to move to the web version yet; however within a few months, but they are determined to use AD for users.   I have found a couple of products that do this; however the client wants to avoid purchasing a third party product.

I would really appreciate anything you can tell me regarding this isssue.

    There is nothing built into the GP Desktop client that supports AD logins.

    They'd have to use the choices that you offered - GP Web Client or else one of those 3rd party applications that you suggested.

    I am with Patrick Roth on this one. 

    This should make them switch to the web-client. If I were you I would stand the web client up (don't have to publish the URL on the public internet) and have them try it out. There are few features that you don't get (such as Integration Manager, paste from excel, drill down from MR reports etc), but generally speaking the web client is feature rich and with 18R2 Microsoft has added a compelling reason to try the same. The look and feel is different with the introduction of area pages and searches.
