Could not load a transcoding service - Xerces Panic Error

When generating a report from a 3rd party product 'Could not load a transcoding service - Xerces Panic Error'  an error occurs.  It is not loading the crystal reports viewer, there is something blocking the viewer to launch.

The 3rd party product uses Crystal Reports Viewer to launch the reports. Reports is created through Crystal Reports and Viewed inside GP. 

 

Steps done to troubleshoot....

  1. Uninstall 3rd party product, remove the dictionary file and reinstall.
  2. Updated Crystal Reports Viewer.
  3. Update pdf reader to the latest
  4. 3rd party provider tested their product using their test tool.
  5. Researched Internet on the same error message.
  6. Compared the "database\Charset"  and "ZoneMapping" registry on the servers that is working properly against the server with error.
  7. Provided full access to all users on DLLs that comes with this 3rd party product
  8. Provided full access on the registry to all users
  9. Upgraded the 3rd party product to the latest version
  10. Edited .Set file to Launch GP and the 3rd party product only.

 

 

Is there anybody out there who experienced this error? What was the resolutions? Or any idea why it is happening?

    Hi Stewart,

    Thanks for the reply, finally had the error resolved. The solution was to allow the registry to write on the server during the report generation. It now works fine.
