ReportI am trying to substitute one resource for another in PSA. There are 2 ways to do this (that I can see) and neither of them seem to be working for me. Please see the error message for one of them below and the other way, where I don't receive an error message, but nothing happens in the sense that the two resources are not swapped on the booking. Has anyone else experienced these issues? If so, what am I missing here? Thanks!
Setup:
Dynamics 365, (v9.0.1.569)
Trial Version
Process 1 (select name from drop down and click Reassign):
Here is a screen shot of what I did on this one:
When doing it this way, the booking on the original resource (Jes Stewart) shows as partially booked as follows:
However, if I refresh the schedule board, the booking goes back to the original resource.
Process 2 (click on 'Find Substitution'):
In this process, I first click on the 'Find Substitution' button from the pop up menu.
This searches for available resources that meet the requirements of the booking. I select one of them as the one I want to substitute, which opens the Create Resource Booking window. From there I click on Book.
In this scenario I receive the following error message (Object reference not set to an instance of an object).
