Hi all,

I'm facing an issue where I get the following error when trying to add lines to a purchase requisition when they come from an external catalog.

I know that site is mandatory but where do I specify this field?

The answer is that it should not validate for site when you get lines from an external catalog, and looking at the code confirms this. I don't have a working external catalog hooked up right now, so I'm unable to test.

Can you add procurement catalog items manually?

It's a really good question.. I really don't understand why it's required now, at least looking in the standard application.

I'm almost afraid that you will have to ask a developer.

You have the default order settings, and I'm inclined to think that's both the solution and cause of this issue.

Can you check that?

Do you know if there has been made any customization to the external catalog functionality?

No there has not been any customization to the external catalog functionality. This is straight out of the box.

I do have a working PunchOut catalog in a standard environment, and can see that Site is not actually mandatory on this type of requisition line:

Site is only mandatory on requisition lines when Item numbers are used. Are you sure you don't have a development or add-on which is attempting to use Items in your PunchOut process?

I don't have have a line or product with item number yet I still get the Site is mandatory message.

I still think this is not an issue which is present in the standard application, but I do have one last thought.

Is 'Dimension link' active? You'll find it in the Inventory management module, I think at Setup > Posting.
