How does an E-Document work in Peppol E-Invoicing? Can Peppol E-Invoicing be fully achieved through E-Documents for both importing and exporting processes?

Peppol E-Invoicing is managed through the E-Document framework, which allows companies to send and receive invoices electronically in compliance with Peppol standards. When a sales invoice is posted, BC generates an E-Document that is transmitted via a connected provider to the Peppol network in the correct BIS format, while incoming vendor invoices can also be received as E-Documents and converted into purchase invoices within BC. This setup ensures both exporting and importing of e-invoices are handled digitally, reduces manual work, and provides status tracking for sent and received documents. With the support of an E-Document provider such as Microsoft’s built-in service or third parties like Pagero or Continia, full Peppol E-Invoicing can be achieved directly within BC 365.
