RESTORE AN ENVIRONMENT

Posted on by 58
Hi community Member,

I'm here again with a new question as community always helped me to sort out my queries.

This time scenario is that one of the user deleted company from production environment. Named /Production./

Now I restored this environment to /Production Resorted/

After restoring now I have two production environement. and Microsoft allow this for limited time. Can I delete original production and continue with restored environment or I just need to copy company from restored environment. Further for how much time microsoft allow two production environment.

Thanks in advance

    RESTORE AN ENVIRONMENT
    Hi,

Microsoft allows you have to multiple production environment, but you need to pay for every additional production environment.

Now which one to use, is based on your situation -
    1. If there are no new transaction in production then you can remove production and rename Production Restored to Production.
(Do verify data in Restored environment before making that call).

    2. If you have new additional transaction in production from the time backup was taken (which was restored) then you can copy the company and restore company in production.

Going forward, I would highly recommend working on permissions assigned to user. It seems team had permission to perform action which they should not have.

    Regards,
    Saurav Dhyani

Yes you can continue with the restored environment. You have a 30 day grace period where you are allowed to have two production environments. More info - Restoring an Environment in the Admin Center - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
