How do I add debits and credits columns on a general journal in Business Central
Hi Karenn,
In the general ledger setup you have this field show amounts. Here you can select if you want to show the debet and credit columns or all amounts.
You might have to click "show more" in the right corner to make the option visible.

To add to what Inge has put I also like to click "Page > Show Fewer Columns" in the General Journal page to get a page layout that looks a little more like a traditional journal entry appearance i.e.
I think you can do this regardless of the "Show Amounts" setting in the General Ledger Setup option.
