I am trying to import a list of contacts of around 500 record. I know some contacts already existing in the CRM as they come up with failures during the import.

However i want to tag the data of the contacts already in the CRM from them list but i need the contact ID or reference number of these contacts in CRM.

How can i obtain this?

From where you get list of 500 contacts?

If it is from other CRM then Contactid is hidden. Save file in CSV format to view it.

Was from a third party not from CRM

Ok. Go To advanced find and look for certain contacts, Download fetch xml.

In fetch xml you will get id of all contacts. Now you can use these ids.

You did not get import failure records in import job?
