Integration Manager File Permissions

Hi

Interesting issue I am having at a client.  They have very restrictive security and we have had issues getting the access we need for various different things, so I am almost certain this is a file access issue - but don't know what we are missing.

Integration Manager is installed with a shared location for the .imd file.  At first I did not have read / write permissions to the shared location - I couldn't create a file or anything.  That is resolved and via Windows Explorer, I can now create files, delete files etc.

However, from inside Integration Manager, I can't create new integrations or delete integrations.  I get the following messages (note - the integration does not already exist with the name):

IM_5F00_1.png

IM_5F00_2.png

If I point back to the .imd in the C:\Program Files location - I can use it effectively.

Does anyone have any idea what file permissions would be incorrect?

Cheers

Heather

We had a consultant assist us with integration manager...and he ALWAYS ran if from C:\

I would install IM outside of the C:\Program Files (x86) folder and put the imd file somewhere in a subfolder of this folder. This way it will be unencumbered by Windows security. Otherwise you need to give Full Access to the folder where the imd is located. I have gotten into the habit of creating a separate folder just for GP and its components. This eliminates all the hassles of security as far as GP is concerned.

    Hi Heather:

Have you tried using a different name?  It may be that you attempted to set this up before the permissions were fixed and it left an orphan in the IMDB.  Let us know if you can set it up using a different name.
