Edit data in the card form from the related record on CRM

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Maybe the subject will confuse some of you. But what I am trying to do is be able to, for example, edit the Contact Card Form from the Account record or edit the Account Card Form within the Contact record. The information shows up fine, but the fields are read-only.

Is there any type of solution that could help me with that?

    Hi Lucas

    An alternative solution is through a 3rd party CTI solution that act as a bridge between your phone system and CRM. Tenfold will be a great option for this, it supports with more than 150 phone systems and and CRMs. It offers features like click to dial and call pop ups and is really easy to set up. They also support MS Dynamics integration. You can check out their integrations at www.tenfold.com/.../dynamics

    Hi Lucas,

    Not possible as far as I know.  If you would like to edit a related record from the main form, you'll have to either;

    1. Create a custom web resource or

    2. Duplicate the fields in main entity and use plugin or real time workflow to copy data to related record (not elegant and not recommended).

    You'll also have the issue about how to create a new record.
