Notes in Leads/Opportunities not updating Modified On Dates

My problem is I have functioning workflow reminders for leads and opportunities that change depending on certain modifications that take place.

I have noticed though in the Notes section when a note is made, the modified on dates don't change.

Can someone help me with Entity:Note workflow that can update my existing workflows? I'm unfamiliar with these types of workflows. It appears I can only update individual leads/opportunities in an entity:note workflow, which is NOT what I'm looking for...

When you add a note the regarding entity is not actually touched, meaning its modified on date won't change. I guess you are trying to locate leads not recently altered and want to count creating a note as part of that process.

You could have a workflow that runs on notes create / update. Then add a step that does an update on regarding(lead). (or opportunity as required.)

This will update the leads individually as notes are change / created. Each note is associated with just one record. Hence the logic of how the workflow would operate.
