Change AR Aging Bucket Dates

We currently have four aging buckets that print on the Detail-Historical Aged Trial Balance report (Current, 0-30 Days, 31-60 Days, and 61 and Over) in RM. We are debating on changing the bucket dates (for one bucket), or eliminating one of the buckets altogether. Does anyone have the Report Writer instructions for these actions? We are using GP 9.0.

    Hello,

    To change aging buckets goto: Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Sales > Receivables.

    Here you can adjust the buckets that affect the rest of the system.

    I have found that if you add another aging bucket other than what came with the system, you will need to adjust all of your caned A/R reports out of the system.  This includes the detail and summary reports of Aged Trial Balance, Historical Agaed Trial Balance, Trial Balance WIth Options, etc.......  If you don't ever use them, you won't need to modify the report. There are detailed customersource KB articles on how to add aging buckets to these reports.  I have followed them before and they work nicely.  It is not easy for someone who isn't familiar with report writer though.  The formatting is probably the most time consuming.  Good Luck.

    One additional note, if you do change the aging buckets, you will want to run Reconcile (Tools > Utilities > Sales > Reconcile) for the system to update open transactions with the changes you've made.
