Hello, need to export data from MS Dynamics Great Plains (our system) to QuickBooks Premier 2018 desktop (external accountant). Has anyone done this? I know we can export basic lists via CSV.  Can anyone help w advice in re transactional detail? The accountant wants 1 year for comparative purposes. Anyone’s experience w this? Difficulty? Issues? Suggestions?

Anyone have experience w exporting transactional data out of GP and formatting/importing it to QBs desktop Enterprise 2018?

Many thanks, any info appreciated.

Hi, Yes we have done couple of similar data export from Great Plains to QuickBooks system, exporting master & transaction level data into QuickBooks using API & SDK Programming. If you are interested, please drop an email to discuss.

    Hi,

I don't know about how QuickBooks enterprise 2018 works in regards of Data import, but in regards of what GP can provide, there is plenty of already built-in reports that you can leverage to get your transactional G/L data out of the company's ledger.

Check your default SmartLists (Accounts Transactions under Financial), or if you have deployed the built-in Excel reports, the same data exists in Excel, based on the same SQL view AccountTransactions.

Now for the import side into QB, it all depends how the import can be configured/used, or if there is any API to 'push' data into QB.
