Let's say I have purchased a license for 10 users for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premise, but I am planning to add more users like 15 or more. Is it possible to exceed the number of licensed users and still use the software, or do I need to purchase additional licenses? Can you please provide any guidance or resources that would help me understand the licensing policy for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premise?

    Thank you, Nitin Verma..

Does it mean that I can have more than 10 users but still only have 10 concurrent sessions, as long as I am rotating which 10 users are active at any given time?

    Regards

Dear Nitin Verma and Inge M. Bruvik

Thank you for your answer. I have one more follow-up question regarding the licensing thing. I understand that the 10-user license allows me to run 10 concurrent sessions of the software. However, if I log out from 5 of these sessions and log in with 5 other users, will I still be using 10 concurrent sessions or will it be exceeding my license limit? Additionally, do I need to manually activate or deactivate the other 5 users to be able to use them?

    Thank you for your time

    Best regards,

SQL express is included and does not require a separate license.

    Hi Nitin Verma,

Thank you very much for the answer. I have a follow-up question related to this licensing thing. I want to know if the SQL Server license (e.g. Express edition) is included in the Business Central license or if it needs to be purchased separately.

    Best regards,

    Govinda Kumar

10 users license means, you can run BC concurrent 10 sessions, if you require more concurrent session you need to purchase more licenses.
