Hello,

I have 2 fields one being Colour and one being Finish.

If I have Colour: Arctic White, I want my Finish field to only show the options: Satin, Polished and Silk. But if I select the Colour Nero I want it to only show the finish: Satin.

I have created a many to one relationship from Colours to Finish, but how do I configure the Filter Criteria in the view?

    Hi,

You can refer to below post. It is under the lookup properties called "Related Records Filtering"

    Thanks

    Hi,

It seems you have made wrong relationship between colour and finish. It should be 1:N and then based on your colour selection can filter below lookup to show only options which is relation to current colour parent (you can set it under related record filtering in lookup property)

    Hope it will help.

    Dear Zylawy

As Mahender kindly noticed, I also think your relationship is wrong.

Your relationship says that many colours should have 1 finish. I suspect that you're trying to give 1 colour multiple finishes, which makes it an 1:N relationship instead of a N:1 relationship.

Try changing the way your relationship behaves and report back in this post if anything changes.

    Kind regards

Thanks for the information. I was able to get that part working. The current issue I'm having is connecting multiple finishes to several colours. I created a many to many relationship but the lookup field I created only allows me to select one option.

Was ale to solve this by creating a many to many relationship. Thanks for all your help!
