Review Email before it is sent through workflow

Hi experts,

I would like to send an email to the customer when a case is created. I know this can be accomplished through workflows, however my requirements has another criteria:

Before the automated email is sent, the user should be able to review the email and make any changes and then send it.

How can I configure this review email before sending condition?

Thanks!

Jon

You would like to make changes to the templates before sending them, you can open the template at  "Setting->Templates->Email Templates".

You can also have an option to create a new custom template that suites your requirement.

If you would like to preview the emails before sending them, I would suggest mail merge.

    Hi Wei Jei,

Yes, I want to notify the user when the automated email is created (when record is created).

The user should be able to review and make changes to this email before it is sent to the recipient.

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

In the workflow designer, instead of using the Send Email step, use the Create Record step and create an Email record.  If you look at the screenshot below, you can see the difference:

Creating the email this way will put it in a Draft status.  You can then create a view of Draft emails for your user, who can then review them and send once they have verified the content.

    Regards

    Bharat

    Hi Jon,

follow the below steps, i am using account as an example, you have to change it according to your flow. But the concept is already there.

    1. using create email step , so the email wont send out.

    2. create a hyperlink to the email body in send email step and inform someone to take over, in this case i am using owner of the account.

    3. The email is generated and inform the owner of the account
