Personalization hangs for all users in Business Central

When any users clicks on Personalization, the system hangs

    I tried to personalize customer Card it took me max 1 minute to publish . 
     
    Verify below things which can cause this issue 
    1) Page which you are trying to personalize is custom or Standard page ?
    2) Any developer doing the customization at the same instance
    3) Can you personalize some other standard page and confirm 
    4) Can you check permissions given to you in your user-card 
    5) Can you verify some other sandbox environment and verify 
    6) Can you relogin with other user and try to personalize the same 
    7) Ensure no update activity is happening in the environment .
     
    Personalize page should work .

    I think this is a global Microsoft issue. Happens when doing the Site inspection aswell.

    We have the same issue today, not sure when i did the last "Personalization"

    Issue is:
    Personalization hangs with “Working on it…” and never loads.

    What we have tested:

    • Occurs in Production and Sandbox.
    • Tested on version 26.4 and 26.5 – same behavior.
    • Happens for all users and all profiles.
    • Tried different browsers (Edge, Chrome, InPrivate) – same behavior.
    • Removed all non-Microsoft extensions in Sandbox – still hangs.
    • Deleted all user personalizations for a test user – still hangs.
    • Reset profile customizations – still hangs.
    • Restarted environment – still hangs.
    • No errors appear in browser Console or Network (F12).
    Any ideas? I have "SUPER" persmission set.

    If the system hangs whenever users click on Personalization in Business Central, the most common reason is corrupted or overloaded personalization data. This can happen if pages were extended with many custom fields and later modified, leaving broken references in the user’s personalization metadata. Another cause may be excessive extensions or complex page customizations that slow down the personalization engine, especially on large list pages. Browser cache issues or outdated sessions can also trigger this behavior in SaaS environments, while on-premise setups may experience it if the service tier is under heavy load. The recommended solution is to reset the affected user’s personalization in the User Personalizations page, which clears out the corrupted data and lets Business Central rebuild fresh personalization settings. If the problem persists, test by disabling extensions on the affected page, clear browser cache, or restart the service tier. In most cases, a personalization reset resolves the issue immediately

    @YUN ZHU Thanks for checking, as it still does not in our environment, it could be a localization issue or similar. 
    Are you aware of any method of seeing what's going on in the background, Telemetry in Admin or other resources in Help & Support. Just to see the code where it stops or a point in which direction to look.

    This issue was a known bug from Microsoft that caused the system to hang when users clicked on Personalization. The issue has now been fixed by Microsoft, and Personalization should work as expected after applying the latest updates.
