    Hi Mustafa,

Site is like a region located in a locality or even a city. Sites can be multiple depending upon the nature of your business. If you perform in 4 different regions of the country. You can have 4 sites in the country.

While for warehouse, it is the storage depot. It can be defined as place where raw materials or manufactured goods may be stored prior to their distribution for sale. So, there can be multiple sites & multiple warehouses. There can be multiple warehouses in a single site.

For more information about this you can see, docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-site-and-warehouse-hierarchies

    Warm Regards,

    Zain

1 site to 1 or many warehouses

Site could be region/ physical unit and could also be setup for virtual grouping of warehouses

Need atleast 1 site before any warehouse could be setup

    Hello Mustafa,

Warehouse refers to a physical location where the product is stocked. Site refers to the region or geographical location. Usually, warehouse resides in a site. For example, if there are two warehouses one located on the east coast in New Jersey(NJ) and one located in Los Angeles (LA), then the site will be referred to as United States and the warehouse will be called as NJ-EW (New Jersey East Coast warehouse) and the other warehouse located in Los Angeles will be called as LA-WW (Los Angeles West Coast warehouse).

    Thanks,

    Hi Zain,

May be my question wasn't clear enough, Actually I meant (Project Sites), In our Firm there Are Main warehouse & each project has its own warehouse (site store), & the main target is to get matching bet inventory balances by (project, Profit Centre ) thru Trial Balance to be matched with report generated from Inventory Module, Lets say We have ONE Profit Centre (Contracting) Under it there are TWO SubProfit Centers (MTC Projects & Construction Projects), There are 3 projects associated with each SubProfit Centre, When I run TB with this Financial dimension set (Main Account+PC+SPC+Project) & then I filtered with (Inventory Ledger Account), Will the Balances will be matched with the report which is generated from Inventory Module ?

    Regards

    Mustafa

    Hi Mustafa,

Have you enabled financial inventory on the warehouse settings in storage dimensions? If the financial inventory is enabled and each warehouse has been opened as a sub profit centre, then while doing the inventory transactions if you select the same dimension set code. There would be no reconciliation issues with the trial balance.

This also depends on which inventory costing method are you using.

    Warm Regards,

    Zain
