    Hi,

As mentioned above, ensure that you have all the pre-requsits to run visual sudio on mac. You can refer this article-

    docs.microsoft.com/.../installation

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the responses.

Visual Studio for Mac does not have .NET framework version 4.5.2...

    It only has .NET standard framework 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, and 2.0

I believe only 4.5.2 works for plugins?

    Hi,

It seems you have to install extra things called Mono.

    stackoverflow.com/.../can-you-install-and-run-apps-built-on-the-net-framework-on-a-mac

    grantwinney.com/installing-earlier-net-versions-on-visual-studio-for-mac

But even you can get the 4.5 framework, I am not sure whether you can build a plugin or not.

    Hi

I don't think you will be able to build a plugin from Mac.  Visual studio on Mac can build. Net core dlls targeting .Net standard or older mono but won't be able to build a Full .Net dll to deploy to CRM. CRM DOES not support .Net core or mono yet.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

    It seems Kokulan is right.
