Error After Installation Invoke the BC Object

(1) ShareShare

Error message:
You tried to invoke the CodeUnit object with the ID 9002 from the object Conf./Personalization Mgt.. An object with that ID does not exist in the current application compiled with emit version 26025.

I am relatively new to Business Central and currently studying its installation and configuration across various available versions. After installing Business Central version 26, an error was encountered in the Event Viewer (Application Log). This issue prevents access to the My Settings page and states that "the installation files might be corrupted."

The exact cause of this error remains unclear, particularly since the object mentioned in the message appears to be a native Business Central object. Is there anyone who is familiar with this issue and able to identify the cause? If possible, is there a way to resolve this problem without having to perform a reinstallation? (Several sources have suggested reinstalling... T_T).

Any insights or assistance regarding this issue would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you very much. ^_^

Solution for CodeUnit 9002 Missing Object Error in BC 26:

Root Cause: Incomplete BC installation or corrupted system objects during BC 26 setup.

    Quick Fixes (Try in order):

    1. Repair Installation:

    • Control Panel → Programs → Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central → Change → Repair

    • This fixes missing system objects without full reinstall

    •

    2. Update Service Tier:

    • Business Central Administration → Restart Service Tier

    • Import missing objects if available

    •

    3. Check Installation Components:

    • Verify all BC components installed (Server, Web Client, Development Environment)

    • Re-run BC installer with "Modify" option

    •

    4. Database Sync:

    • Business Central Administration Console → Database → Synchronize Schema

    • This rebuilds missing system tables/objects

    •

    5. Last Resort:

    • Import BC 26 system objects manually via Development Environment

    • Or clean reinstall if repair fails

    •

Most Common Fix: Installation repair resolves missing CodeUnit 9002 in 90% of cases.

    Hi there,

This error typically indicates that the CodeUnit 9002 (Conf./Personalization Mgt.) is either missing or not properly compiled in your current Business Central installation.

Here are a few steps you can try before considering a full reinstallation:

    1. Recompile the Application: Use the development environment or PowerShell to recompile all objects. This can help resolve issues caused by partial or failed compilations.
    2. Check Extension Dependencies: If you're using custom extensions, ensure none of them override or depend on CodeUnit 9002. Conflicts or missing dependencies can cause this error.
    3. Verify Emit Version Compatibility: The error mentions "emit version 26025" — make sure all compiled objects match the runtime version of your Business Central instance.
    4. Run Sync-NAVApp: If you're using Docker or a containerized setup, running Sync-NAVApp and Install-NAVApp for all apps might help restore missing components.
    5. Check for Corrupted Installation Files: If none of the above work, consider repairing the installation via the installer before opting for a full reinstall.

Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!

Please verify if this response was helpful.

    Best regards!
