Why don't web resources used as navigation links on a form show dependencies to that form?

When adding navigation links in a form, you can "Specify an existing Web Resource or external URL"; if you use a web resource, you would expect that "Show Dependencies" on that web resource would show the form, however, this is not the case.

Why don't web resources used as navigation links on a form show dependencies to that form?

Is this a bug?

    Ok, so it's not a bug, but rather a missing feature that would be very helpful for dependency management. Do you have any suggestions on how to track these navigation link web resources?

    The specify web resource option is calling a piece of Javascript that allows you to easily select a url from the internal records, the external url is a textbox that you can enter or paste a url into. The output of both items are however identical, its a string listing the url for that the iframe should display contained within the xml of that particular form.

    Hence in neither case does the system know there is a dependency there as dependencies are checked at a database level and any dependency here is hidden within a single string within a large bit of xml...
