Uploading XLSX file not working

Hi,

Been trying to upload an XLSX (importing) for marketing events and although the system (CRM online 2015) clearly states xlsx being supported I receive an error message saying the following:

"Invalid Format in Import File

The import file does not have the format that Dynamics CRM uses to map the data to CRM fields. It is possible some hidden sheets that the system uses have been modified or corrupted. Try again with a file exported from CRM."

Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a solution to the issue? Using Excel 2013.

Try exporting the template first, make changes and then upload the sheet.

Hi Ape,

If you are using the standard import jobs then this section does not support the xlsx format, only .csv. You can convert your spreadsheet to .csv and import as an option. It does support xslx through the export of an entity to a spreadsheet, make the changes, and re-import.
