Changing Account Categories

GP has the tool, "Account Modifier" to change account numbers.  Is there anything available to change the categories that are assigned to GL account numbers?  I think we need to do a general clean up of the category names that are in GP. 

Maybe they need to be swiped clean & we start over

    You can clean these up and add to them, but there are 48 defaulted, so I would not make the categories less than 48, just in case.  Financial - Setup - Category

    You can change any name you wish, and add to the list as well.  Do not worry that you'll see a "*" rather than a number, in SQL it will number.  Any changes you make to names and any you add will be included in FRx, should you opt to create reports using Categories.

    Hi Luis!

    You can add as many as you like.  Setup-Financial - Category.  Scroll to the bottom and start adding.  You'll see a * rather than a number.  Then you'll be able to assign to accounts and use in Frx or Management Reporter.  Belinda
