What is the new comprehensive report for User License Estimator ?

Hi everyone,

Refer to the User License Estimator page :

The User license estimator report indicates how many combined base and attach licenses are required. For more information about base and attach licenses, see the /Base licenses and cost savings opportunities for 'attach' licenses/ section of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide.

The User license estimator report can't distinguish base and attach licenses for a user. The choice between them is made when licenses are assigned. A new comprehensive report is expected to be available during the calendar year 2023.

Especially the 2nd statement about new comprehensive report, anyone can guide me what exactly the report and where can find it ?

The report is located in "System Administration" -> "inquiries" -> "License Reports" -> "User License Estimator".

The document you provided has been updated recently. Except for the new comprehensive report mentioned in the document, I have not heard anything about this report. Maybe Microsoft will update the report on user license in the future. For specific information, please pay attention to the update of the document.

Hi,

There is an User license estimator report available under System Administration -> Enquiries -> License reports -> User license estimator. This report calculates the number of named users and evaluates the licenes being assigned to the user and showcases the licenses based on SKUs assigned. Also, this is based on the functionalities the user can access in the system.

A glimpse of how the report looks.

There is a License subscription estimator where you can provide the number of users, existing transactions in the Production environment and it will provide an estimate of licenses.
