Issues with PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator after 10.0.46 update

Hello,

Is there anybody who use PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator class for backend Product configuration via x++ code?

After upgrade to 10.0.46 version we started to getting errors like below, when calling PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator.configure method.
It happens only in tier 2 environments and not in DEV and I wonder if anyone else is facing the same issue.

It also looks like this errors are happening on random AOS servers because one day it can work on AOS1 and not AOS2, the other day it can be opposite.

Error message:
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Frameworks.Controls.ProductConfiguration.IsConfigurationComplete Dynamics.AX.Application.PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator.configure(System.String, System.String, Int32)'.

Hi @Eddie No,

This message indicates that a method has been modified or does not exist in the DLL (I think they changed something).

I suggest you create an MS support ticket.

Actually we have opened MS ticket already. But MS stated that this is a customization issue, not their issue and they cannot find any issues with dll. This is also difficult to prove because You cannot call PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator class using standard D365 FnO (replicate in vanilla other words). That is way I decided to ask here, to check if I someone else who uses PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator class in their customizations found similar issues.

If anyone is wondering here is small update on this.
Today I got access to on-premise tier 2 environment and what I saw there is that the version of Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Frameworks.ProductConfiguration.dll which is used in PCRuntimeSynchronousConfigurator has different versions and even size in different locations.

After that I copied one version of dll to all these locations, and now things started to work.

I believe we have the same situation in cloud environment, but unfortunately no access to AOS servers.

So once again, thanks to Mohamed his thoughts were correct.
I will provide these proofs to MS teams and hope now they will agree that this is a system bug not customization.
