Limit available Role Centers selection to only one (e.g. Accountant)

I have an use case here where I want to limit a person with only D365 BC Team User license to access only one particular Role Centers (e.g. Accountant).  I don't want this person to have access (not even read access) to other data like payroll and other company sensitive data.  I don't want them to select other Role Centers (e.g. Business Manager or any other role center).

I searched on Internet for help and found this Microsoft Doc link that might do it

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-users-profiles-roles

But, it won't let me create new profile or show me now to assign a particular user to a limited profile etc...

I think this would be easy to do in D365 BC but I just can't figure out how to do it.

Thank You

Techuvise

What if you do it through permission set ? Role Center is basically a page. If you remove the  page Execute permission for the other role centers, they will not be able to access it.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion.  I looked into the Permission Set and there is nothing on that list showing the various Role Center pages.  I found something similar like D365 ACCOUNTANT and I look inside and it has finer granularity of the specific data fields.  There is a corresponding D365 TEAM USER but nothing on "Business Manager" Role Center...

    Hi Techuvise,

In Business Central Production you cannot create your own Profile.

You need to develop a customization for this.

    www.olisterr.tech/.../how-to-actually-use-profile-objects-in.html

Also, for permission, you need to create Permissions Set for these team member users .

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-nav/how-to--create-or-modify-permission-sets

Let me know if this resolves your issue.

You can't use standard permission set. Just copy from existing standard permission set and modify the permission.
