    Hi,

I have a scenario where I need to apply a threshold on the Amount of the order that decides what workflow user group must approve it.

We are also using multiple currencies to process purchase orders.

The problem is that I need the workflow to run based on LCY amount - which is not available anywhere on the PO. The reason i need it to run this way is that my LCY currency is what I transact in, have bank balances in, have budgets (managed offline) etc. So everything needs to be weighed using the LCY currency.

I do not wish to configure 1 workflow per currency because the FX rates are variable. If I set up a workflow for, for example JPY, then I need to convert lets say the threshold of 1,000,000 USD to JPY (whatever it amounts to). If I convert the amount manually and set it up in the workflow in the Amount condition, then it means i have locked it against the FX rate of a certain day (on which i did the conversion).

While exploring this a bit, I found that the Statistics page on Purchase Order does indeed show the Purchase (LCY) amount - however, that field is not part of the Purchase Header (38) table. Which is annoying because it means I can't use it as a condition in the workflow.

Do you think there are any smart solutions to work with this problem? It's very strange to see that the purchase and sales documents don't give you the amounts in LCY, whereas a general journal does.

    Thanks,

    Asfand Yar
