I was informed today that Microsoft is discontinuing the education for 365 CRM. Has anyone heard similar information?

I have the same question (0)

That is interesting! As someone who's just figuring out the basics of Dynamics  because our university just decided to go with it, I hope its just a case of them pulling a more generic version in favor of specific version like "Higher Education", and "k-12" specific versions.

hello, it was a developer wanting us to pay for their development instead of using the accelerator. While trying to see if it was true, I posted this question as we are about to implement 365 Dynamics CRM with the accelerator. Are you folks, happy with the product?

    Hi Edgar,

The Education Accelerator is still being supported, it is not being discontinued.

That is interesting to hear that developers push custom implementations rather than working with an "official" add on.

As a developer I feel the pull where you want to show your chops and build your way out of things, however I very much value not having to build things that are common to a situation like education objects and such.

Being new to Dynamics I find its very hard to find a definitive source of information for how all things fit together. I really appreciate communities like this!

    Thanks for posting this question

Edgar, where did you hear this? We are wanting to implement the k-12 accelerator, but now I am concerned about it not being supported.

Hello, we are proceeding with the implementation of Dynamics CRM with the education accelerator. The information I was given was wrong. I just created this post to see if the developer we are using was trying to pull a fast one on us. As i mentioned in an earlier post, it was just developer trying to convinced us to get them to build the features in the accelerator rather then getting the free features included in the accelerator.  The accelerator is not going anywhere.
